Welcome to World Schools Foundation

World Schools Foundation (WSF) was established in 2006 by a small group of Australians who believe that passion and compassion are powerful partners for effecting change. We want to help make a difference and create positive, long term change in disadvantaged areas around the world.

WSF is a small, tightly run, not for profit organization founded by Sydney businesswoman, Preya McMahon and her husband, Chris. Preya's father Reverend Grahame McMahon has also been a driving force in getting WSF up and running. Preya has committed a percentage of her company profits to the Foundation each year and undertaken to provide volunteer support from the staff to assist on projects as required.

The Foundation’s main focus is to provide access to quality education for those with little or no opportunity and thereby bring hope for the future. We seek out and support grass-roots initiatives in communities that are in high need of support. These are likely to be small, community based projects with little or no government funding and limited capacity to raise their own profile. We like to work in co-operation with these groups and help them find ways to deliver good quality programs to children and communities in great need and together, to bring about fundamental change and a brighter future for all.
